The Last Stop Of the 2010 Flw Tour Lake Guntersville Huntsville Alabama!

Lake Guntersville is one of the best largemouth bass fisheries in the United States with average bags of five fish at over 20lbs a day!
I was so excited especially because i had my own cheering section! going to this event with me i was so proud to have my 5 month old son Myles, with me as well as my wife Kelly, and my mother there to cheer me on!

Wow what can i say what a lake! you could fish deep river structure fish, one minute, and then go flipping for them the next'. There were definetely many different patterns going!

I had a great prefishing with National Guard Pro Micheal Murphy as well as Pro Angler and friend  John Voyles who i had prefished all events with and is a super guy and fisherman!  and felt confident i could get a limit each day at this event!

The first day i was paired up with Cody Meyer a western pro from California and all round awesome guy i managed a small limit with a dead fish!

Day two i was paired up with Touring pro James Strickland Jr  I was very pleased to meet him and he was a great guy to fish with and we quckly became friends!

Day three i fished with National Guard Pro Justin Lucas!  I managed  to catch a limit for 13 lbs which was just not enough to make the money!

Talking Fishing with National Guard Pro Justin Lucas!

Lake Oachita Presented by Chevy

The fourth stop on the Flw Tour was held at lake Oachita in Hot Springs Arkansas!

I was pumped for this one i heard stories of big bags of spawning fish as well as some good top water action for post spawn largemouths!  I had the honor of prefishing with friend and buisness assosiate and television personality National Guard Pro Scott Martin!

The first day i drew pro angler Shad Shenck an awesome guy and a great fisherman i managed only three fish  although i struggled to keep another 5 on in the heavy flooded timber!

I would like to send a special thanks out to Terry Kellar and the staff at Koppers Fishing the Live target lures Bluegill pattern was a definite asset for myself as well as a couple others on tour at Oachita!

The second day i fished with Pro Tim Mcdonald an incredible gentelman and a hoot to fish with but the fish were small and i only landed three all wich came on the live target Bluegill!

The final day found me paired up with Greg Pugh! It was great to fish with him unfortunately i could only catch small non keepers!

Overall my expeirence at Oachita was awesome the people of Hot Springs were very hospitable and i grew to appreciate the sport more than i ever had thought of before!

Fort Louden/Tellico Lakes Results!

The Third stop on the Flw Tour at beautiful Knoxville Tennesse. On day one I fished with touring pro Andy Montgomery! We fished hard and managed 5 fish for Andy and 2 for myself!

Andy and I had a great time but the fish were small and we both caught several fish that didn't measure!

Day two brought a major change in the weather with temperatures dropping by over 10 degrees, the fishing was sure to be even more challenging, I was paired up with
Bass Pro Shops/ Nitro Pro Ott Defoe, Ott was in 6th place after day one and was on some good fish!

Ott and i really struggled and we missed one good fish that would have helped Ott managed to catch 3 fish and i had a big fat 0! man i wish those small fish i caught would have measured!
I had an awesome time with Ott and he was an awesome guy to fish with!

Day three Brought a change in the weather again but what I and many other anglers, would be for the better. Light winds and warmer temperatures in the high 70's.

I had the honor of fishing with Bass Pro Shops/Nitro Boats Pro Stacey King!
Stacey and I talked the night before and had a solid plan! or so we thought!

The last day would turn out to be a disapointement as far as the fishing was concerned Mr. King weighed in One bass and I also weighed in one bass.

Stacey King is one of the nicest people i have ever met!  very courtious and friendly and taught me a little something along the way.

I have enjoyed everyday out on tour and have met some awesome people i look forward to the next tournaments and will keep you informed on my progress!

Lake Norman Results!

Lake Norman was a challenging tournament with fish just starting to stage for the spawn, I had  to work hard  on some finesse techniques to catch the fish! I did not get the results i had hoped for but hey thats fishing !
Pre- fishing was decent but for those who are not familiar with fishing as a Co-angler you must go were your boater takes you. I was very fortunate to fish with three of the worlds best fisherman the first day i fished with.

  Former BP Pro Jim Moynagh!

The second day brought a different pro and a different pattern when fishing with different partners you need to stay versitile and adapt to what the conditions and the area requires.
I was fortunate to draw another great partner.

Castrol Pro Bobby Curtis!

The second day with Bobby was hard work we struggled to get our fish
and were running and gunning to various spots throughout the lake.
I only managed 2 fish weighing in at only 3lbs 10 oz giving me a
total weight for two days at a mere 6lbs!
Wow talk about tough fishing,
I have to say thanks to Bobby for
working hard and never giving up
!

Well the third day brought a new day with high expectations
even with my low weight i was within striking distance of a cheque,
all i needed was about 10Lbs or better! I was paired up with, no other than;

Bass Master Classic Champion Dion Hibdon!

Today would prove to be one of  my most memorable as Dion and i went out trying to put together some good bags of fish!
I have to say that Dion was an amazing fisherman, and such a pleasure to be around very professional, curtious, and an extremely funny guy!

Unfortunatly the fish did not co-operate and he only managed three keepers and i only one!

In the words of the Dion himself   "Oh Well There's Always  Another Day"

I ended up with 8lbs for three days a less than stellar performance but one i will never forget, all the guys i fished with and hung out with were awesome and extremely friendly!

I wish to say thanks to FLW Outdoors Bill Taylor and Charlie Evans and all the event staff who made this tournament a success.

I would also like to thank all the staff at the Microtel Inn and Suites in Kannapolis NC for there hospitality thanks visit them on the web! www.microtelinn.com
